November dont rush the season

And then it was November! Wow, how time flies as another year nears it's end. Yet, despite being inundated with Christmas commercials and carols galore (2 months before the holiday!), the day after Halloween, let's not overlook the end of fall and all it has to offer: Remembrance, migratory birds, frost covered flora and perfect crisp sunny days.

If you are thinking of putting your home on the market this month and are looking for that transitional decor to inspire a Buyer between two seasons, a monochromatic scheme in warm woody tones is easy and effective. Natural items such as baskets, tree limbs and cream coloured accents can replace pumpkins and other Halloween decor, later acting as a neutral backdrop to evergreen sprigs, berry clusters and winter themed accessories, in about a month from now.

A great place to visit when prepping your home for the season or for sale is Sheridan Nurseries. Ask about their winterberry shrubs in red or gold or both! Perfectly showy along a fenceline, Berry heavy gold is a newer variety that holds it's berries long into winter, providing an important food source for native birds and small mammals throughout winter.
Lampe Berger is another item I often buy there when preparing my listings for sale (always on my must have list). Especially helpful during flu season, Lampe Berger uses a specific formulation (since 1898) of diffusing naturally scented alcohol, eliminating room odour and killing 93% of air born bacteria, viruses and allergens.

Questions? I'd love to answer all of them!
